Remember my post on the wheat baker brunch here? Well this time, I decided to go back for face food- a facial. (Terrible joke, I know, but hey) I'd actually never had a facial before because I imagine my face getting burnt or suddenly erupting in massive spots from all the weird and unknown products.
The entrance to the spa is outside of the main building off a small flight of stairs. My friend convinced me to go later in the day because your skin has the tendency to be quite tender after a facial and the last thing you want to do is expose it to the sun.
The spa was small but pretty. I didn't take my camera and my phone battery was low, so I only took a few shots, but it's more fun to see it yourself no?
The lovely spa manager, Mimi talked us through options and we settled for a mild babor facial. She didn't recommend based on price or try to push extras and that was quite nice.
It was a one hour facial and every minute of that hour was spent with something going on. A scrub, a steam, a mask...it went on and on but the therapist explained in a low voice what she was doing. She also threw in a foot and arm massage.
At the end, my skin was kind of glowy and my awkward cheek hair was gone.
The Wheabaker Spa is in the wheat baker hotel.
